Meet the pastor
Tyler and Tailor grew up in Springfield, Ohio. Tyler met his better half, Tailor, in his senior year of high school and they've been together ever since. They became husband and wife July 6, 2013. Tyler and Tailor both grew up in the Church. Throughout the years, Christ has proved His faithfulness to them over and over again. In 2012, God called Tyler to move to the Bluegrass State, which he has called home ever since. Tyler graduated from Louisville Seminary in 2015 with his Master of Divinity. In 2018, he was ordained as an Elder in the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Tailor graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Morehead State University in 2018. Tyler admits that he is a "total nerd." In his spare time, he enjoys reading, collecting comic books, playing guitar and drums. He also attempts to play golf. In her spare time. Tailor enjoys to read, cook, bake, exercise, and blog. Tyler and Tailor are excited to begin a new season of ministry with their brothers and sisters in Christ. They are excited about what the Holy Spirit is doing in this community. They look forward to loving Him, serving Him, and sharing Him so that many lives might be changed for God's glory.
Meet the secretary
Robin L. Slone born and raised in Paintsville Ky; graduated from Johnson Central High School and Mayo Tech & Vocational School in Business & Accounting. Married Greg Slone in 1987. Greg and Robin were blessed with 2 children. Their daughter, Amberleigh, is a graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Master's Degree in School Counseling. Amberleigh married Taylor Davis who also graduated from Morehead State University and currently plays baseball for the Chicago Cubs. Taylor and Amberleigh will be having their first child in August. Greg and Robin’s son Zachery is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Engineering and an Engineer at Gray Construction in Lexington Ky. Greg has spent his last 11 years as a surgical nurse in Surgery and Recovery for Paul B. Hall Medical Center. The last 24 years Robin has been a Church Secretary & Administrative Assistant. The last 12 of those years serving at Paintsville First United Methodist. While serving the church, Robin also held a second position during the last 4 years at Magoffin County Enterprises LLC as Building Manager and Administrative Assistant. Robin’s world revolves around her family and friends, she has placed God in the center of that world and enjoys serving others along her journey. Greg and Robin feel God has blessed their family in many ways through the years and their prayer is that they continue to trust in God and praise His Name through all the stormy days of life. As well as, praising him through the sunny days for He has brought their family through them all.
